About Amnesty International:

Amnesty International has been defending human rights for over 50 years, and is a global movement of more than 3 million supporters working together to make a difference. Amnesty International fights injustice around the world, every day, responding to human rights violations and crises when and where they occur, working tirelessly to prevent situations reaching crisis point.

We are part of the global human rights movement defending human rights and dignity. We work with people in Australia and in our region to demand respect for human rights and protect people facing abuse.

To do this, we mobilise people, campaign, conduct research and raise money for our work. We are promoting a culture where human rights are embraced, valued and protected.
