Kids Help Line
are giving twenty people the opportunity to travel to the Indian
Himalayas in October 2007, and help raise vital funds to answer
cries for help from kids in need across Australia.
During this
spectacular 14-day adventure, you will experience the simultaneous
chaos and serenity of Delhi, its crowded medieval markets and
tree-lined avenues. We will travel by train to Dharamsala often
referred to as ‘Little Lhasa’ home of His Holiness
the Dalai Lama. Here you will begin a challenging but highly
rewarding six-day trek through local villages being “mobbed” by
excited school children along the way and camping out under the
stars with spectacular Himalayan Mountains as your backdrop.
You will finish your Indian adventure with a sunset visit to
the incomparable Taj Mahal, architecturally perfect and a monument
to eternal love.
Taking part is simple. We ask you to commit to
this adventure by paying a registration fee, which will secure
your place on the trip. Places are limited so it is important
to get in early. Next, you are required to undertake the challenge
of raising a minimum amount of money. The money serves two purposes – it
will cover the cost of the trip and provide much needed funds
for Kids Help Line.
