Most people do not realise that domestic violence affects 1 in 3 women living in Australia today. Every week, violence at home results in the deaths of two people, mostly women and children. Domestic violence is Australia’s hidden epidemic, the ugly issue that is difficult to face.
Australia’s CEO Challenge is a unique Australian charity working to prevent and alleviate the effects of domestic violence. Now you can support their work by running the Marathon de Paris and raising money to stop domestic violence and support women and children fleeing violent homes.
“When I came to the Refuge for the first time I learned what life could be like without the fear. I learned what it meant to live in peace and enjoy motherhood. I don’t remember having a peaceful night’s sleep until I came here...”
