For Variety 2010 Kilimanjaro is the largest freestanding mountain in the world.
Kilimanjaro summit image Formed one million years ago Mount Kilimanjaro is a spectacular sight and an incredible trek that offers breath-taking views from the rooftop of Africa and an incomparable sense of achievement. Our seven-day trek will take you through five different climatic zones, whilst camping under the stars at night. On the summit day we wake for breakfast at 11pm, eagerly anticipating a sight of that famous signpost, UHURU PEAK, Tanzania, 5895m!
The great Wall of China FAST FACTS: Dates: 2nd December - Tuesday, 14th December 2010. Fundraising target: $9,500 ($6,165 travel costs; $3,335 minimum charity donation). Trip Duration: 12 Days. Duration of trek: 6 Days. Accommodation: Camping, 3 star hotels and local lodges. Difficulty: Challenging.
